I’ve spent my entire professional career working alongside healthcare providers—helping medical practices understand their numbers, make better decisions, and build sustainable businesses.

I began my accounting career in 2008 at Cooper Norman in Boise, where I worked across a wide range of accounting, tax, and consulting engagements. During this time, I was deeply involved in healthcare-related work, including financial statement preparation, tax compliance, and advisory projects for medical practices. This early exposure gave me a strong foundation in both accounting and the unique operational realities of healthcare.

 

In 2010, I transitioned into healthcare operations by joining Cole Diagnostics, an independent pathology laboratory. Over the years, I’ve been directly involved in managing growth, building teams, improving workflows, and navigating the financial and operational challenges that healthcare organizations face every day. This hands-on experience has shaped how I advise practices—grounded in what actually works, not just theory.

 

Throughout my career, I’ve served as a fractional CFO and consultant to small and mid-sized healthcare organizations across multiple specialties, including pediatrics, dermatology, pathology, clinical laboratories, and ENT practices. My role has consistently focused on helping physician owners and practice leaders gain clarity around their finances, improve decision-making, and position their businesses for long-term success.

 

Most recently, I helped launch Spek Diagnostics and continue to work there full time, remaining deeply embedded in healthcare operations. Because of this commitment, I work with a limited number of outside healthcare practices, allowing me to provide highly focused, practical guidance informed by real-world experience.
